I have been researching my family history off and on for about
twenty years. So far I have recorded ancestors as far back as
about 1825. Most of my ancestors hail from Strafford County, NH,
but of course many were immigrants from places such as Canada, France,
England, Switzerland, Germany, and possibly Norway.
I am currently researching my great-great-grandfather Joseph F. Lingard (c. 1845-1925), who entered the US around 1861 from Switzerland. I am also researching the surnames Aube, Broc, Bushway, Eaton, Gray, Hall, Hawkins, Howard, Knight, Parshley, and Smith.
